GRADES

Academics are our outfits number one priority. Our outfit placed 8th overall in the Corps for grades in the Spring 2010 semester, and placed 1st amongst all of the technical outfits in the Corps.  We stress grades so much in our outfit because we know that in order for a cadet to take on more responsibility, they must first learn to handle the new level of education they are receiving.  Simply put, if you can't make grades, then you can't stay in the university, and you need not apply here.

MAJORS

Among the cadets in our outfit we have a wide variety of different majors.  This benefits you as a future cadet by almost guaranteeing that we will have someone in our outfit who has already taken the classes that you will be taking, and they will also be able to give you personal assistance if you struggle or need more help in any way in these challenging classes.

SCHOLARSHIPS

There are many scholarships available to lower the cost of college. Here are the different types of scholarships available:

UNIVERSITY- A university scholarship is award based on performance in high school. It is mainly based on academic success.

CORPS- Corps scholarships are awarded to incoming cadets who have displayed academic proficiency in high school. All out of state cadets will get some kind of corps scholarship that gives them eligibility for in-state tuition.

ROTC- ROTC scholarships are awarded to cadets who have applied specifically to that branch for a scholarship. They are awarded based on a multitude of factors, from academics to athletics. There are many rules specific to each type of ROTC scholarship, talk to a military representative or visit the scholarship’s website for further clarification.

OUTFIT- Squadron 8 is one of the few outfits that offer a scholarship. It is funded by the Outlaw Legacy Foundation; more information can be provided by an outfit representative.
